This year in 2012, ISKCON’s 23rd Vraja Mandala Parikrama will be held this year from Sunday 4th October till Monday 2nd November.

Registration will start from Friday 25th September at our ISKCON temple in Vrindavan.

The registration fees are as follows:

Full time ISKCON/Namahatta devotees Rs. 2500
Other devotees Rs. 4500

Full time ISKCON/Namahatta devotees should bring a recommendation letter
from their temple authority in which it should be mentioned that:
– one is a full time devotee.
– one has received permission and blessings from his temple authority to
participate in the Parikrama.

The Parikrama will start on Sunday 4th October right after mangal arati at
5:00 am. All participants are kindly requested to reach Sri Vrindavan Dhama
the latest on 3th October.

Please note that one will have to arrange his own accommodation in Vrindavan
untill Sunday 4th October. The VMP Management will provide accommodation
from Monday 5th October onwards.

There will be daily walking during the Parikrama in which we will cover
average 15 km a day. Therefore we will assume that participating devotees
are in a reasonable or good health condition. The Parikrama might not be so
convenient for someone who has difficulties with walking, or who is too old,
too young or disabled. Normally a devotee should be able to cover the whole
Parikrama on his own strength.

Below is some general information regarding participation in the Parikrama.

Here are few Tips and Guides would like to share during Vraj Parikrama are…

ACCOMMODATION:

Accommodation will be arranged in tents, schools, dharmashalas and temples
according to the facilities that will be available locally.

SHUTTLE SERVICE:

Devotees who want to take part in the Parikrama during daytime only can
avail of our Shuttle service. Every morning right after mangal arati a car
will leave from ISKCON Vrindavan to the Parikrama site and return in the
afternoon after the day Parikrama is over. The charges for this Shuttle
service for the whole month is Rs. 6000. For use of this facility on day
basis we will charge a reasonable fare.

MOBILE SHOP

When we reach the destination our Mobile shop will be open. The shop
will supply basic requirements, such as soap, batteries, candles, matches,
mineral water, dry fruits, snacks, etc.

LAUNDRY SERVICE

Laundry service will be available for a reasonable rate. The laundry will be
collected in the morning and delivered in the evening.

MEDICAL CARE

A doctor and a nurse will be available. They will be equipped with a
first-aid kit, basic medicines for cold, light fever, diarrhea, minor
injuries, blisters, etc. In serious cases hospitals can be reached within a
short time by car.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

* FOR READING *
Krishna Book, Nectar Of Devotion, Song Book etc.

* FOR BATHING *
A bucket and plastic cup, small scrubbing brush, 2 gamsas.

* FOR SLEEPING *
Rubber mat or straw mat, plastic sheet, warm sleeping bag, warm clothes
(when it becomes cold in the night), blankets, a mosquito net.

* AS WELL AS *
One good torch, cup for drinking, water bottle, cream for hands and feet,
mosquito repellent, washing line, shoulder bag.
